On behalf of our client, a Swiss company, we handled the annual renewals of the license, tenancy contract and immigration establishment card of its branch located in the Dubai Airport Freezone. We were able to convince the free zone authority to recognise an extract of commercial register of the mother company which was taken from the online commercial registry maintained in Switzerland as sufficient for the renewal proceedings. In doing so, the free zone authority refrained from requesting the usually required notarised and legalised version of the document, which saved the client both time and money.
