Prior to the client signing the contractual documents to buy an off-plan property in Dubai, we supported him by clarifying all relevant preliminary questions. In particular, we verified the proper registrations of the project and the developer with the Dubai Land Department as well as the existence of an escrow account necessary for a secure payment of instalments. Subsequently, we reviewed all documents related to the purchase, which included the registration form and the sale and purchase agreement in particular. Furthermore, we arranged for the client's registration in the Interim Real Estate Register and thus the emerging of his respective rights, called Oqood. We also monitored the construction progress. After the completion of the property, we inspected the premises, drew up a comprehensive snag list and accepted the handover on behalf of the client after the rectification of all defects.
