A British company was dissatisfied with the performance of its agent in the UAE. It was further unclear as to whether and to what extent the agent was registered in the Commercial Agency Register kept with the Ministry of Economy. As a first step, we applied for extracts from such register and, upon establishing the existence of a registration, requested a copy of the registered agency agreement. In addition, we assisted our client in the preparation of alternative distribution concepts aimed at improving both the client's market presence as well as its sales in the region.
