UAE is most competitive economy in Arab world

The country has maintained its top position in the Arab World according to the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report. While the UAE dropped one place in the 2017/2018 report from 16 to 17, it has risen substantially since the 2012/2013 edition when it was ranked 24.
