Retirement visa scheme for expatriates unveiled

Expat retirees over the age of 55 years will be able to apply for a five-year renewable residence visa. The new law will come into effect from 2019. The requirements to qualify for a retirement visa are a property investment of at least AED 2 million, financial savings of at least AED 1 million or an active income of at least AED 20,000 per month.
