In recent weeks, some authorities have begun implementing the new regulations concerning commercial companies in the UAE. Dubai Economy and the Ministry of Economy have confirmed, for example, that the national service agent of existing branches of foreign companies can be removed and no such agent needs to be appointed for any new branches. With regard to limited liability companies, the licensing authorities of the Emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi have determined a large number of activities for which an Emirati shareholding will no longer be required as of 01.06.2021.
