Ejari means "My Tenancy Contract".
It is the official registration system for tenancy contracts in the Emirate of Dubai. Ejari is operated by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). All tenancy contracts must be registered via Ejari. This can be arranged by either the landlord or the tenant and must be repeated each time the tenancy contract is renewed. An Ejari registration is generally a prerequisite for obtaining utility services, such as electricity and water, or for pursuing tenancy-related claims before the Rental Disputes Center (RDC). The Ejari Contract Number can also be used for the exact identification of a property within the Smart Rental Index.
