UAE issues excise tax law

Federal Decree-Law No. 7 of 2017 paves the way for introducing tariffs in the fourth quarter of this year. The Government plans to introduce excise tariffs at a rate of 100% on tobacco and energy drinks and 50% on sugary drinks.
