UAE grants first commercial gaming facility license

Wynn Resorts, the Las Vegas-based casino firm, is building Wynn Al Marjan Island in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as the first gaming venue in the MENA region. It is set be open in early 2027. Following the lottery licence issued in July 2024, it is the second licence issued by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
