Stricter curfew in Dubai imposed

The competent authorities announced this evening that the National Sterilisation Programme due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be extended from previously ten hours a day between 8 pm and 6 am to 24 hours with immediate effect for an initial period of two weeks. This means that all residents of Dubai must now apply for a so-called move permit before being allowed to leave their homes. The only exceptions apply to employees in vital and specific support sectors, such as food retail outlets, pharmacies and delivery services.
