Sharjah opens property market to foreign investment

Expatriates of any nationality holding a UAE residence visa can now buy property in the Emirate of Sharjah. Before only UAE and GCC nationals were allowed to purchase real estate in the Emirate. Leases of up to 100 years will now be granted. The first development to offer long-term leases will be Tilal City.
