Petrol prices up more than 20% from August

After deciding to abandon the decades-old subsidies programme, the UAE Ministry of Energy has announced new fuel prices for next month. While the price for unleaded petrol Special will increase 24% from AED 1.72 to AED 2.14 per litre, Diesel will become 29% cheaper and now cost AED 2.05 per litre.
