New legislation on use of commercial lands

Dubai Decree No. 23 of 2022 regulates the granting of Musataha rights on commercial land in Dubai. A Musataha agreement creates a real estate right that entitles its holder to construct a building on or invest in a plot of land owned by a third party for a period of up to 35 years, which can be extended to a maximum of 50 years.
