New Commercial Agency Law to take effect middle of June

Federal Law No. 3 of 2022 will replace the existing 40-year-old legislation. It allows, amongst others, for public joint stock companies with at least 51% Emirati shareholding to act as commercial agents. Furthermore, the contracting parties may agree on arbitration to resolve disputes.
