JAFZA issues new rules for free zone companies

For the first time, the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) has brought together all legal forms, i.e. Free Zone Establishment (FZE), Free Zones Company (FZCO) and Branch, under one regulation and introduced Public Listed Companies (PLC) as a new legal form. Companies can now restructure and rearrange their operation by converting from FZE or FZCO to PLC and vice versa, enabling continuity of business in the free zone.
