Hotels urged to assist stranded tourists

The Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has instructed hotels in Dubai to provide travellers currently impacted by flight cancellations with all necessary support. Any extension of stay shall be continued under the same conditions as the initial booking. No hotel guest should be evicted. The DET shall be notified should a guest be unable to cover the cost for the extended stay. Similar instructions have been issued by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi as well the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.
