Emiratisation target expanded

The Emiratisation programme in the private sector will now also include small businesses with 20 to 49 employees in 14 key sectors of the UAE economy. Targeted companies will have to employ at least one Emirati in 2024 and another one in 2025. Should these requirements not be met, a fine of AED 96,000 for 2024 and an increased fine of AED 108,000 for 2025 will be imposed.
